Even the world’s best footballers travel with their favourite pillows to ensure their beauty sleep. Wayne Rooney was recently snapped carrying a large pillow on the England team’s long-haul flight over to South Africa. It’s no ordinary pillow either, it’s none other than the Sound Asleep with in-built speakers and an mp3 connection (here is our recent review of the Sound Asleep pillow)
Apparently the manufacturers of the Sound Asleep pillow sent a load of their pillows over to the England team when the company owner learned that Rooney has trouble sleeping without background noise.
Pillow company boss Jamie Moryoussef said:
“We sent Wayne one after hearing about his problem. A lot of our customers tell us it really helps. As massive football fans at Sound Asleep, we’ll do absolutely anything we can to get him a good night’s sleep.”
